***According to the 3AM girls Melanie C, Keith Allen, Alex James, Dave Rowntree and D. Hirst have just finished recording the video to their World Cup theme song, "Who Invented Fish and Chips? (Pop It In The Onion Bag)". In an interview Keith Allen in the Day and Night magazine that comes with the Mail On Sunday, Allen revealed the single will be released June third.***

Melanie C revealed at the premiere of the new film, 'Bend It Like Beckham', that her follow-up to Northern Star may appear as late as 2003, claiming that she wants everything to be right.

Bend It Like Beckham, the big new British movie featuring TWO of Melanie's tracks, will be hitting cinemas in the UK on 12 April 2002.
The film comedy about two girls desperate to play football like their hero David Beckham despite huge pressure from their parents to be more girlie, contains the tracks I Turn To You and Independence Day.
Independence Day was re-recorded especially for the movie and features brand new lyrics. It will also appear on the original soundtrack available to buy soon

Melanie C is NOT leaving the Spice Girls!! It were all rumors told by the press after Mel said that she is not going to do any Spice Girls work in the immediate future.
This is what Mel said about the rumors of her leaving the Spice Girls: "The truth of the matter is I haven't left the Spice Girls. But when I'm asked questions, I'm going to answer honestly. And at the moment we're all pursuing solo careers, and have got no plans to do any Spice Girls work in the immediate future."

Dr.Dre, the man who took controversial rapper Eminem under his wing has some good words to say about Melanie. He says, "I'm a big fan of the Spice Girls, but not because of their music! My favorite? I'd have to say Sporty Spice because I hung out with her one night.We talked for close to two hours in a bar in Hollywood, just kicking it around. I loved her personality."
I knew he was a nice guy!!

***Melanie C has been called to testify in court over allegations that she had been stalked by a Dutch man. The man, aged 36, has admitted to sending her letters with blood and sperm, car components and the contents of a vacuum cleaner, around the months of June and October last year. It is said that he had also sent her pornographic pictures and videos, messages of an insulting nature, as well as threatening to kill her.
Though the man's solicitor, Renee Zilver, said he had no intentions of harming Melanie. "He only dreamed of sharing a happy life with her. Love fantasies have pushed him to this deviating behaviour." The man has now been freed on the conditions that he doesn't phone her, send her packages or come near her, and that he attends to a psychiatrist.
A magistrate will question Melanie C sometime in the following months, and as soon as she is heard as a witness the court will proceed with the trial.***

Melanie C turned 27 on the 12th of Januari.....Happy Birthday Melanie!! Mel celebrated her birthday in Barbados.

***Melanie was in the USA writing and recording with some of the producers from Northern Star for her second album. She has completed recording her second album and the album is set for a september release.***

Melanie has got two new tatoos, they are made in Amsterdam on the 15th of October before her gig there. One tatoo on each of her pulses. One means happiness, and the other one means love. These are in Tibetarian.
